Project: AI Journal - An Experiment

day 33 - Like the Wish Flower.png

Day 33 - The wish flower

Small and fragile. The forces of the universe are way too strong for any of us, humans. When the first event begins, there's no way to stop the following that can end up in something big and unimaginable, when it's a catastrophe it's visible and horrifying. When it's something beautiful, it might last. A tragedy, like a volcano erupting in the middle of an island - it starts small, tiny movements of the tectonic layers of Earth. They can be measured, detected, and perhaps avoided, but when nobody notices those signs, the spark in the volcano begins, and nothing can be done. It makes me think of that movie, The Butterfly Effect, the main character tries to change the future, but each time it gets worse. Sometimes there's no way out, and we must accept things as they are. I woke up with this feeling, It's a weakness of the whole body, and the heart feels like it's falling, or already fell to the bottom of the stomach, there isn't energy enough to change whatever it is that I probably dreamt about or is in my subconscious. I know this feeling. I remember it from when I was around 13 years old. It was a beautiful sunny day, I was playing outside with my cousin. We had one of those balls with a plate we'd use to step on, on each side of the ball to jump around. It was her turn to use it, and out of the blue the feeling of utter loneliness just invaded my body. I don't remember, but I think I started crying.

I believe AI can be used as an artistic tool. I'm using my journal entries or fragments of them as prompts to generate images on the Midjourney AI Platform, this will be done for a year - 365 days. My plan is to turn this experiment into a book.

Participatory Art - Community Rock Snake Project

How can we increase creativity in our lives as artists?

I run a weekly space on X where I share a few ideas about how to boost creativity encouraging participants to share their own ideas as active co-creators.

Parallel to the spaces there's an open collection on Objkt.com where participants can download stone templates, create and list their artworks.

I have plans for this project, stay tuned for more information.
